María José Viera-Gallo

María José Viera-Gallo (Santiago, 1971) is a journalist, scriptwriter and literary fiction writer. She has published two novels: Stolen Summer (2006) and Memory Motel (2011), which was a finalist of the Herralde Prize (Spain). A few years later she published the short story collection Things I never told you (2014). As a scriptwriter, she participated in the film Joven y alocada (Young and Wild, 2012), which won the World Cinema Screenwriting Award at the Sundance Film Festival.
