Paloma Valdivia is a designer and illustrator with several books published around the globe that have been translated into many languages. One of her most acclaimed books is Es así (Fondo de Cultura Económica, 2010), which was also published in Canada (Groundwood books, 2012) and Switzerland (La Joie du Lire, 2016). Other titles include Duerme negrito (Fondo de Cultura Económica, 2012), Sin palabras (Hueders, 2014), and Los de arriba y los de abajo (Kalandraka, 2009). The English translation of the latter, Up Above and Down Below (Owlkids Books, 2012), was reviewed by The New York Times and Publishers Weekly
and was selected as one of the 30 best children’s books of 2012 by the prestigious website Childrensbooksguide.com. One of her most famous books, Nosotros (Us), has been published in Spanish, English, French, Italian, Turkish, Japanese, and Hindi.
