ANDRÉS SANDOVAL

Andrés Sandoval was born in 1973, in Chile. However, he has lived in São Paulo since childhood. He is an artist and illustrator, studied architecture and urbanism at the University of São Paulo. Since 2003, he has developed projects for books, prints and murals. Participated in the Illustration Biennial of Bratislava (Slovakia) and the Book Fair of Montreuil (France). Since 2006, it illustrates the Corner section of the Piauí magazine.
Creates designs and prints for brands like L'Occitane and Coca-Cola. It also develops panels and murals in public and private spaces. His illustrations have been published, among others, by the publishers Companhia das Letras, Cosac Naify, Planeta Tangerina and by the magazine The New Yorker.
He has illustrated different books, in which it is possible to highlight his technique, based on architecture and geometry, innovating with books like Siga a seta 2011 (Follow the arrow), Desenho Livre 2016 (Free Drawing) and Dobras 2017 (Folds) which have been very well received.
